This past spring, we, the parents in the Tempe Schools Family Literacy Program, read the bilingual Spanish– English book, In My Family / En Mi Familia, by Carmen Lomas Garza. The book inspired us to write a memory of our childhood or youth, or a memory of the customs of our families or towns.
