My Life
In my life some people inspired me in a positive way. I would like to talk about three of them.
One person who influenced me was my mom. First of all, I saw her working hard for us. My father worked most of the time outside the town, and he came back on the weekends, so my mom took care of my brothers and me.
Another way my mom inspired me was that she was a teacher, so she took a break in her career, and when we grew up a little, she back to work. After many years she became a principal, and finally she took her retirement.
My mom always is doing something new. She takes classes for crafts and classes for English, and she likes to take tours throughout places in Mexico, for a week or two, with other teachers in retirement; her group is named “The Muchochas” ( “The Big Girls”).
Another person who had a big impact on me was my grandmother because she helped her family to be professionals. She was a teacher, too, and almost of her sons preferred to be teachers as well. Only the youngest was a public accountant.
The last person I will talk about is my husband because he encourages me to do more things for my personal life. He said to me, “If you want to stay at home with the girls, do it, and when you decide to go back to work just tell me. You can do it, too.” When I told him, “I want to go school and study English,” he supported me and stayed at home with our daughters and took care of them. That is the reason I ‘m here, to study English at Cochise College.
