In the past I was very angry and defiant towards education. Since attending Victory, I have turned my life around. And I am now willing to do my school work and not be the kid that is in and out of school due to fighting and creating distractions for the other students that want to learn. I am receiving all the help that I need and I am working towards my new goals.
The main reason I became a student at Victory is because of all the drama with other kids. Public high school is full of lots of crisis’s and fighting. The main reason I got kicked out of school was for extreme fighting and destruction of the school’s property as a result of the fight. After that, I got arrested and kicked out of the Chino Valley school district and the Prescott school district. I also had to pay for the keyboard that I had broken. After all the dust had settled I heard of this school called Victory, so I decided to give them a call and see how they could assist me in preparing for my GED exam.
I enrolled in Victory and discovered that it was a very good school. And I had a great opportunity to stick with this school and get my GED. Also, the staff at Victory helps me to understand the subjects more than any school or teacher ever has. I feel that the reason I understand the work better is because the staff at Victory sits down with you one on one until you understand the work. I also like the fact the Victory is a work at your own pace school, which is good because if I am struggling with a subject I won’t be left behind without understanding the work. The way Victory is set up the staff will not stop teaching you until you completely understand the topic that you are struggling with.
Also, Victory is willing to work with you on your schedule. I like the fact that Victory is flexible and understanding. For example, if you have to work or something comes up, all you have to do is call in. Victory is the most fair and understanding school that I have ever been to. They help you through the GED course, but also understand if you can’t make it in. Unlike most public schools, they won’t hold it against you if you are really sick or have to go to work.
Victory has and is helping me set and reach goals on a daily basis. For example, I never thought I would ever make it this far in education. And they push me in the direction of success. Since I have been at victory I have learned a lot and that makes me feel better about my every day life, but also it makes me feel really proud of myself that I could make it this far.
