My Dream

My name is Clemencia Lucero.  My mother and father inspired me when I was just a girl.  First of all, they taught me how to care about people.  My mother had a big heart.  She always took care of her children and grandchildren.  My father was the same way.  I can’t say anything about my grandparents because they died very young.  My mother used to tell me that they were caring and thoughtful people.  My family and I were very poor, but we were very happy.  I have taught my own family the values of life that I was taught as a child and throughout my adulthood.  Keeping my family together is my goal.

My parents did not have an education, but to me education is very important, so I am now going to school.  I like Adult Education class because the class has been very helpful for me.  Ever since I have been taking this class I have noticed that my writing and reading have been improving more and more.  In each semester I have learned something new.  The teachers are very kind and patient.  This is a great idea for Cochise College to offer this class for people who can’t afford to pay, including myself.  I recommend this class to other people.  My goal is to continue Adult Education classes.  I hope one day I can reach my goal and do something better for myself.  My goal is to get my GED so I can expand my employment options.
