Arizona Literacy Day!
On March 16th, 2004, Adult Literacy Day was celebrated at the Arizona State Legislature.
Adult Education students and teachers had a display on the lawn and visited their legislators to thank them for their support and asked that they continue to support our efforts. A group was recognized by Senator Miranda at the Senate session that day.
AALL passed out special bookmarks that morning for Adult Education visitors to give to their legislators.
We ask that all Adult and Family Literacy advocates write to their representatives to show appreciation for our continued funding. It is a great idea to keep up our efforts throughout the year.
