Dear Ms. Ortiz:
A simple "thank you" cannot express our sincere appreciation for helping our daughter restart her educational journey. When she initially went to you, it was with extreme trepidation that once again she would not be able to complete what she was about to start. Ms. Ortiz, your patience, kindness, encouragement and unfailing belief is what helped her complete her GED. For this devotion, she and you other students are grateful.
This fall was filled with several choices, to attend the Music Academy she was accepted to or continue her degree. I am please to say that she has transferred to Northern Arizona University and is a proud Lumberjack! She wants s that illusive degree that she missed out on once…her diploma. So, a BA/BS Degree she will get. There's no stopping her now. You helped build an independent self-confident young lady. She's even planning an education study abroad!
God Bless you for not giving up on her. You epitomize the true meaning of what a teacher should be!
We Are Two Very Proud and Grateful Parents."
After receiving her GED, the young lady attended Estrella Mountain Community College and, as noted, is currently attending Northern Arizona University.
