Student page: Cinderella and Point of View
Pick stories from this list, and pick a scribe, a presenter
and a timekeeper for your group. (groups no more than
4) The scribe will write down the
answers, the time keeper will keep the group on time (5minutes to set up and
choose, 30 minutes to read 30 minutes to answer the questions, and 30 minutes
to share.

Each student in the group will read one of the stories. (20 minutes)
Tell each other about the story and one person in the group should fill in a synopsis of the stories, using some of these questions as guidelines questions:
How were the following the same or different from the original story?
1. Cinderella’s relationship to her father/real mother
2. The stepmother and stepsister’s characters
a. How do they feel about Cinderella? Why?
b. What are their actions towards her?
3. The godmother or other helper who helps Cinderella
a. How is Cinderella helped?
4. The prince/king
a. what attracts him to Cinderella?
b. How does he find her?
c. How does the story end?
5. Other similarities and differences:
Present your results to the large group. What surprised you/ interested you about the similarities or differences between the stories?
