Steps for Copying a Picture from the Internet to a Diskette

  1. Get a diskette and write your name and label "pictures" on the diskette. Place the diskette in the A drive of the computer system.
  2. Access the Internet.
  3. Go to any accessible site where a graphic can be copied. 
  4. To save the picture, follow these steps.
  1.  Put the mouse’s pointer on the graphic of choice and right click on the chosen graphic. When the picture is selected, click on the available option of "Save Image As..."

    After a click on the "Save Image As..." the following box appears.

  3. In the "File name:" window the  type a meaningful title, perhaps here the name, "my school".
  4. In the "Save in:" window the click to find "3 ½ Floppy (A:)"
  5. In the "Save as type:" window the default should be .jpg
  6. After checking the file name, the save location, and the type of graphic,  click on "Save".

You  may observe the A: drive’s noise and light blinking.

  1.  Check the A: drive through My Computer or directory to see that the saved graphic is on the diskette.
