AALL ESOL Lesson: Riddle
Once upon a time, there was a farmer who had a goose, a fox and a bag of
corn that he was taking to the market. On his way, he had to cross a river.
But the boat he had was small, and he could take just one item at a time
with him. That was a problem. If he left the goose and the corn together,
he'd have nothing left but a fat goose. If he left the fox with the goose,
he'd have nothing left but feathers. So how does he get his three items
across the river in his boat one at a time without losing any of them? Your teacher will help the class act out the play and solve the riddle. ____________________________________________________________
