Adult Literacy Week

Arizona Adult Literacy Week is an annual, statewide event celebrating adult literacy and lifelong learning in Arizona communities.

The purpose of Adult Literacy Week is to increase awareness of the importance of adult literacy and its bottom-line impact on Arizona’s quality of life and economic recovery through creating an educated citizenry.  Governor Janice K. Brewer’s official Proclamation for Arizona Adult Literacy Week further emphasizes adult education’s vital economic and social contributions.

Adult learners from all over Arizona are invited to submit their “I’m In Love With Learning” Writing & Artistic entries from 20 different categories.  Entries will be reviewed by an expert Panel of Judges on January 31, 2013 Awards will be announced on February 1, 2013.  The Award Ceremony will be announced at a later date.
